The beginning Egenberger
In 1899, the Egenberger family bought a farm in Thierhaupten, thereby laying the foundations for the dairy that would later be established in the region.
Trust grows with time –
for over 125 years at Egenberger.
With expertise and first-class products, we have earned the great trust placed in Egenberger over decades. First regionally, then across national borders, and now throughout the EU. We believe, a high-quality milk replacer helps ensure strong and healthy animals. As a company, we have to earn this trust time and again with every product. We have been doing this for over 125 years.
Egenberger – a successful mix of innovation and tradition.
Millions of calves and young animals have grown up and become strong with our milk replacers – just like Egenberger. A small success story for both the cattle and for us. Our recipe for success has always been a healthy mix of tradition and innovation. We started producing milk powder back in 1963. We then built on this knowledge and started producing milk replacers. We now have over 50 years of experience in this field.
A change in leadership always brings movement. At Egenberger, however, this transition has been carefully and strategically designed. With Tino Wiesner as Managing Director, the company is led by someone who not only brings experience, but also feels a deep connection to both the business and to agriculture.
Tino Wiesner on his role and his start:
“I am truly grateful to be part of such a traditional, strong, and successful company as Egenberger. Even in my first few days, I experienced how strongly the company is shaped by values such as reliability, quality, and genuine teamwork. The long-standing, highly experienced team welcomed me with open arms. This collegiality and expertise are an enormous asset.”
Egenberger has always been deeply rooted in agriculture. This closeness to people, animals, and production is central to Wiesner:
“We are deeply connected to agriculture. We understand the challenges our partners and customers face. This closeness to everyday practice is part of our identity – and it will remain so in the future.”
The Future Means Responsibility
For Wiesner, the further development of the company is a top priority.
“Further developing Egenberger is of the highest importance. It’s not about short-term impulses, but about sustainable, long-term decisions. We want to secure jobs for the future, maintain stable sales channels, and continue to nurture the close relationships with our loyal customers. For us, development means preserving what is good and, on this foundation, moving wisely into the future.”
This mindset has made Egenberger successful for decades – and Wiesner intends to build on exactly that:
“Throughout its history, Egenberger has always made the right decisions at the right time. I take this responsibility to act with foresight very seriously. We are shaping the future with conviction – together with our team, our partners, and our customers.”
Egenberger thus remains a company that combines tradition and innovation – with clear values and leadership that is here to stay.
Our history
The Best basis for Healthy growth:
Passion.
Throughout its history, the Egenberger company has been continually evolving. But one thing has remained the same over the entire time: the passion to always achieve the best possible quality.
The beginning Egenberger
In 1899, the Egenberger family bought a farm in Thierhaupten, thereby laying the foundations for the dairy that would later be established in the region.
Development and expansion
Franz Egenberger organised the company for the future. Egenberger starts with the production of milk powder and gradually expands its capacities.
Egenberger produces milk replacer for the first time
The prior knowledge from the production of milk powder helps with a key step for the future of the company. In 1970, Egenberger starts producing milk replacers. Because of its rapid success, this branch is continually being expanded.
Concentration and modernisation
Thanks to the success of Egenberger milk replacers, production is continually modernised. In 1985, the production of milk powder gives way to a modern mixing plant to produce milk replacer.
Second location in Thierhaupten
The success story of the Egenberger milk replacer continues. The largest investment in the company’s history is done in 2011 for a second production facility in Thierhaupten. The modern silo and mixing plant combined with the new storage areas considerably increase the capacities of Egenberger.
